- What about MY question on the Ramlink? Did you miss it Doug? Endless posts
- debating the C= worlds oldest question (to pirate or not to pirate) and not a
- simple line of text to help me out!
-
- Ramlink 1.5 years old Power Supply suddenly dies, I assume the worst check out
- hardware (visual inspection and looking (with static electricity precations of
- course) feeling for overheated chips etc... ) and then check the PS (which
- should ALWAYS be checked first on anything) anyway, replace PS re install GEOS
- and other things, Works fine! suddenly one day (rare occasion) I decide to
- power up in 64 mode, do so (on my 128D CR) and it starts up with JIFFY enabled
- (from ramlink I mean) but NO device 16.... look back under the monitorstand and
- see that the good ol red ERROR led is lit... try again and again unplugging
- everything else from the computer and nothing helps, run the test program and
- it works, but still no device 16, in 128 mode works perfectly (filled all
- partitions and validated them several times).... I AM an ELECTRONICS
- (construction and production) so I want (and eventually will be able to
- completly) fix it myself but would GREATLY appriciat any tips CMD can give my
- along the way,
-
